Choreographer Stephanie Schober presents a playful new work at Déda

On Friday 11 November, choreographer Stephanie Schober presents new work Traffic at Déda.

Previously artist in residence at the South Bank Centre and Laban, Stephanie has created an engaging performance in which two dancers and a musician interact on stage, spontaneously creating their own sound and movement with three accordions, chairs and a sheet of glass.

The three artists create their own sound and movement within the show, almost creating a conversation between the performers. It results in a charming performance with a real sense of fun running throughout. See a short trailer at

Stephanie creates work with a clearly recognisable physical style, playing with rhythm, form and spatial relationships. Her work grows from a rigorous research process into the body and the way it moves. She frequently collaborates with musicians, investigating the dynamic between sound and silence, movement and stillness.

Stephanie Schober presents Traffic at Déda on Friday 11 November at 8pm. Tickets are £10 (£8) and are available from the Box Office on 01332 370911 or at
