ONE MAN TWO GUVNORS’ RETURNS TO CURVE

Following their last sell-out visit, The National Theatre’s award-winning comedy One Man, Two Guvnors’ returns to Leicester from 6 – 13 October during its biggest ever tour.

Now seen by over 1 million people worldwide, this internationally-acclaimed smash-hit has been hailed as 'the funniest show on the planet' by The Daily Mail and a 'comic classic' by The Guardian.

Nicholas Hytner's five star production tells the hilarious story of Francis Henshall who, fired from his skiffle band, becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe. But Roscoe is really Rachel, posing as her own dead brother – who’s been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers. Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes a job with one Stanley Stubbers – but to prevent discovery, he must keep his two guvnors apart. Simple.

The acclaimed play written by Richard Bean is based on Carlo Goldoni's classic Italian comedy, The Servant of Two Masters and has songs by Grant Olding, performed by The Craze.

With a cast including Gavin Spokes (One Man Two Guvnors’, London) in the lead role as Francis, Norman Pace (of comedy duo Hale and Pace) and Emma Barton (EastEnders) this acclaimed smash hit is a glorious celebration of British comedy – unique laugh-out-loud mix of satire, songs, slapstick and glittering one-liners.

Jasmyn Banks is Pauline Clench, Alicia Davies is Rachel Crabbe, Michael Dylan is Alfie, Derek Elroy plays Lloyd Boateng, Edward Hancock is Alan Dangle, Patrick Warner is Stanley Stubbers and David Verrey plays Harry Dangle.

The Craze are: Philip Murray Warson (lead vocals and guitar), Richie Hart (bassist), Oliver Seymour-Marsh (lead guitar) and Billy Stookes (drummer and washboard).
