St. George's Festival 2017 in the Cultural Quarter

Celebrate St George’s Day on Orton Square and at venues around Leicester's Cultural Quarter, on Saturday 22 April.

A fun day for all the family from 12 noon includes a special green dragon, maypole dancing, folk dancing, Leicester Morris Men, street arts, make & do arts tent, knights & princesses parade, dragon trail, beer festival, and folk sessions - plus open artists' studios at Makers' Yard, Leicester Print Workshop and Two Queens.

Pop in to LCB Depot for art-based family activities and wonderful food. We'll have a Bambino Disco for kids and adults, and instrument-making and singalong workshops with The Ella Project.

See the Open 27a Part Two exhibition, Paul Barrand’s ‘Dear Old Albion’ collection in Lightbox; and the Multiply lithography exhibition by Nína Óskarsdóttir and Mandy Payne in the Print Room. Relax at Gray’s Coffee Shop & Kitchen - open for exciting fresh seasonal food and refreshments, with free wifi.
