It’s been a busy number of weeks and months, but we are now pleased to announce some of the fantastic awards that successfully applicants to our open call, EXPOSURE, could well achieve.

Alongside being part of one of the largest photographic festivals in the UK, exhibiting amongst some of the greats of contemporary photography, those who are successful in their submission will be opening up further opportunities for themselves. Here’s a bunch to get you started.

BJP Award

British Journal of Photography, the world’s longest running photography magazine, establishment in 1854, is offering FORMAT EXPOSURE photographers the opportunity to receive a free 1 year subscription to the magazine and one photographer the chance to be selected for a feature.

Blurb Award

The brilliant folks at Blurb are offering an award for one photographer of £1000 toward their exhibition at FORMAT and a Blurb book voucher.

EMAHO Magazine Award

Emaho is a Tibetan-Sanskrit exclamation meaning something close to a marvellous realisation, and that is how we see the world around us. are excited to announce a special award of a feature in Emaho Magazine online and potential to participate in Emaho’s next photography exhibition as well as FORMAT EXPOSURE. Selected by Emaho Editor-in-Chief, Manik Katyal.

Don’t Talk To Me About Heros Award:

Three lucky photographers will be selected to become immortalised on a special edition t-shirt through our friends at Don’t Talk to Me About Heroes.

Troika Editions award

EXPOSURE is a great opportunity to win the Troika Editions Award, a four week solo exhibition in The Front Room Gallery in London and inclusion to sell work in the FORMAT Collection on the Troika Editions online gallery.

Paul Hill Award:

One EXPOSURE artist/curator or photo-collective will be selected by the Jury to receive £1000 towards the costs of a solo exhibition in Derby Museum and Art Gallery.

New Art Exchange Award:

One EXPOSURE artist/curator or photo-collective will be selected by the Jury to receive a solo exhibition in New Art Exchange.

Square Magazine is proud to bring the first edition of the Square Award to the 2013 FORMAT International Photography Festival.

Square Magazine is a quarterly online publication dedicated to the square photographic format. It is multilingual, free and utterly devoid of rectangles. The selected entry will be exhibited in EXPOSURE and published in our pages and thus achieve instant icon status throughout the world. We will take charge of the printing, framing and delivery of the work, and further goodies will be forthcoming when other projects come into place.
